AUTHOR'S BIO:
Jenifer LeCair has been an avid sailor since age 17. Over the past 16 years, her
adventures aboard the Maine windjammers have taken her through pea soup fog and high seas. She has helped raise and furl many
sails and taken her turn at the wheel. She has sailed to remote islands in the Gulf of Maine, and been aboard the winning
schooner in the Esperanto Cup Race off the coast of Gloucester, Massachusetts. She has stood middle-of-the-night
deck watch under a full moon while sailing back to Maine, and she has been on deck during a gale off the coast of New Brunswick.
In her Windjammer Mystery Series Jenifer brings all these experiences to the fore in her descriptions of the sea and the ship,
Maine Wind. Maine’s coastal regions are also vividly evoked in her very readable
novels. The author prefers not to belabor the sailing aspect of her books, though, as she believes readers want
a balance of many elements in a mystery novel.
Ms. LeClair has a BA in English literature and has been writing for 25 years. She has two grown children and lives in Vadnais
Heights, Minnesota, where she is currently working on the next novel in her Windjammer Mystery Series.
