Jenifer,
I purchased your book
at the Tall Ships Gala in Duluth, MN
this past August. I've waited until now to start it after most of my work for my own business is finished and glad
I did. Once I started it there was no putting it down. As a master at "who done it" you had me completely
fooled with the villian, which is a rare treat. Loved the terminlolgy, the references to the great cooking, people and places.
As a lover of tall ships but can't take the pitch of the deck, it was great to step aboard and go sailing.
Thanks,
Deb Bartilson,

Hello Ms. LeClair!
My wife,
daughter and I were in Duluth for the Tall Ship Expo.
On one of our walks, your book, Rigged For Murder caught my eye in the window
of the Northern Lights bookstore. I made a mental note to stop back later to look into it. Then to my surprise, as
we walked around the exhibit area of the DECC, we happened upon you sitting at your table. I purchased the book and
you were kind enough to personalize it. Thank you.
I just finished reading
the book (I had a couple lined up ahead of yours) and I wanted you to know that I REALLY enjoyed it! As they say,
a good read. Lots of fun plot twists and excellent character development. I feel I now know Brie and Capt. John
as well as others featured in your novel. I thought I'd figured out the plot at least once but was proven wrong.
That's a sign of a good novelist.
My wife, Kris, plans on
reading it next and I wouldn't be surprised if she brings it to her book club.
I'm
looking forward to Danger Sector. Can you let me know by email when
it's published?
Wishing you the best!
Regards,
Dan

Hello Jenifer –
We met at the Maine Author’s Book Event at the Botanical Gardens last weekend where I bought your book!
I promised you that I would read it within a few days and let you know what I thought. First of all, I wanted to remind
you that I am a middle school teacher, and not only do I read books for myself, but I read them through the lens of how they
would be received by my students.
I think the Windjammer
series is going to be great! There are so many things I enjoyed about the novel. It is totally engaging right
from the beginning. The characters you’ve created at completely believable and your attention to detail with everything
from sailing terminology to crime scene investigation all work together to keep the reader hooked. You’ve even
thrown in a taste of romance! I was caught up in this classic who-done-it murder
mystery right from the start, and I was thrilled to realize at the end that I hadn’t figured it out!! I was totally
surprised to find out who the murderer really was, and that to me is the sign of an excellent mystery! Last but by no
means least is the wonderful Maine connection! Even
though your setting is fictitious, it is representative of the reality of life on the islands off our coast with colorful
characters and all their unique eccentricities!
I
think some of my upper level readers will love this story. Mystery is a genre I require the kids to read, and being
a k-8 school we don’t have a great selection of upper reading level mysteries for them to read. I am very much
looking forward to reading more of your books in this series! Congratulations on what is sure to be a hit!!
Sincerely,
Kathy Kauffman

Dear Jenifer!
Since my last note, I gave your book to one of my 8th graders and he really liked it!
It’s nice to know that I now have stories I can recommend to my upper level readers that will both challenge and entertain
them! Will be looking forward to reading the next installment in your series! J Kathy

I am an avid reader.
However mysteries are not something I am drawn too.
Rigged for Murder has changed by mind. Right from the beginning I started to see the characters
and got involved in their personal lives. I couldn't wait to pick up the book and find out more about them.
Then I wanted to know how they were interacting with each other and how that would change their lives.
I thought I had a part of the mystery solved only to be
led in a different direction a couple pages later.
Not being a sailor, I found I wanted to go sailing and feel the romance and excitement of the seas.
I loved the story and the description of the boat and sailing terms that left me wanting to know more facts about sailing
a boat.
I look forward to more
books by Jenifer LeClair .
